Prevention and treatment of cerebral vasospasm following subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH)
May improve neurological outcomes by preventing ischemia (stroke) after bleeding in the brain
Usual Adult Dose:
60 mg (two 30 mg tablets) every 4 hours
(Total: 360 mg/day)
Duration: Typically for 21 days after onset of SAH
Take on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals)
Swallow whole with water
Do not take with grapefruit juice, as it increases absorption and risk of side effects
